My goal as an artist is very basic: to create beautiful artwork that enhances the atmosphere of people’s surroundings. My goal as a human being is somewhat larger: to preserve a fraction of what nature gives us, and hopefully increase awareness to save our environments rather than allow the continued plundering of it.

I utilize heavy textures, rich colors, and technique to create work that "feels" like nature. I am more interested in capturing a feeling than depicting a scene. I often add organic materials to the painting which compliment the subject matter, to help achieve the vision that I have for a particular work. The regular use my bare hands more than brushes, is another characteristic of my style.

My materials of choice are acrylic paints and mediums by Golden Artist Colors and archival hardboard panels by Ampersand.
